She raised her family in Brockton and later moved to the Cape Cod area. She worked as a telephone operator for Bell Atlantic in Brockton and New England Telephone Company. She worked as a bank teller for many years and retired to Wareham in last few years, where she volunteered for local schools and food banks. She was predeceased by her husband, David W Lawson. Survivors include her husband, Albert L Nichols, Jr. of West Wareham; children, Donna Rose and her husband, Sean, of Wareham, David Lawson and his wife, Maureen, of Kansas City, MO, Robert Lawson, Jacob Gurney and Barbara Lawson - all of Wareham; grandchildren, Michael Lawson and his wife, Hannah, Athena Lawson, David Lawson, Jr., Christopher, Katie and Patricia Mullen-Hayes; 2 great grandchildren, Michael Jr. and Mia; siblings, Patricia Holmes of Middleboro, Adrienne Whiting of Middleboro, Len Holmes, Bob Leach of Taunton, and Elmer Holmes of Middleboro.
