BRYANT, Kevin Michael, 39, of Williamsburg, Virginia, passed away on Monday, 22 June 2020. Kevin was born on 4 December 1980, in Wiesbaden, Hessen, Germany. He graduated from Hampton High School in 2000, served in the US Navy, and worked several jobs leading up to his career as an Electrician with the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers (IBEW). On 21 October 2017, he married Dwan Lashelle Bryant and together they were raising two sons, Zachary and Amiri. Kevin loved and adored his family and most enjoyed spending time with them, together at home and traveling.

Kevin was a 5th year Electrician’s Apprentice with the IBEW. He will be recognized as in Inside Journeyman Wireman from his Apprenticeship School, something he worked so hard to obtain. Kevin was an avid Union Member with the Local IBEW Union 666, in Richmond, VA. He aspired to own his own residential electrical company upon his graduation.

He crafted his talent as an electrician, and his love for competition, by qualifying with top times in the State of Virginia three consecutive years, to represent his Local at the IDEAL National Championships and goal was to return every year. During these events, he met dozens of Electricians, both Union and Non-Union, from all around the world and made friends with every one he met.

Kevin was kind, loving, compassionate, and enthusiastic in everything he did. He was deeply in love with his wife, Dwan and cherished all they had as a family with their two boys. His infectious laugh was so wonderful and was one that if you heard it, you knew exactly who it was coming from. He loved to eat and sit and watch his wife bake and was so encouraging in what she did as she began to form her baking business.

He was a mentor, provider, and friend to those he worked with in the field and with his friends and family, he would give you the shirt off of his back or go out of his way to help you out if he could.

He is survived by his loving wife, Dwan and their two sons, Zachary and Amiri; Father, Samuel “Rosie” Bryant and his wife, Vicki; Mother, Peggy McLenithan and her husband, Brian; Father-in-law, Walter Brown; Mother-in-law, Candace Braxton; Sister, Kelly Wilson; two Step-brothers, Jason Hunsberger and his wife, Amy and Jeffrey Hunsberger and his wife Erin; Two sisters-in-law, Destinee Brown and Tiffany Braxton; two nieces, Lauren Wilson and her fiancé, Brandon Pauley and Breanna Wilson and her Partner, Bradley Faulkner; one nephew, Dylan Wilson; his paternal Grandmother, Betty Bryant; two uncles, William Bryant and his wife, Beth, and Rick Kermen and his wife, Maggie; one aunt, Sandy Burton; and hosts of relatives and friends.

A Memorial Service will be held Saturday, 11 July 2020, at The Bryant Home between 4 pm and 7 pm. Flowers and donations may be sent to 120 Plantation Road, Williamsburg, VA 23185.
