Shirley's last few years were in a nursing home due to an accident that wouldn't allow her to return home. That did not stop our visits for Sunday fish dinners and Roy Rogers Cowboy Shows. She loved her cowboys! She also loved her chocolate candy and just like her Daddy loved sharing with the nursing home staff. Shirley loved her flowers / plants and let's not forget cats. Our last few months visiting with Shirley were through her nursing home window due to covid19 lockdown. That didn't stop us from taking her fish dinner and bringing the little doggies to bring her joy while filling the birdfeeder outside her window. Shirley loved watching the birds come eat outside her window and could name them off one by one.
Our visits and prayers left her spirit uplifted and we are grateful for the opportunity to have known and loved her as if she was family: because she became just that. Shirley felt our love and was grateful for all things. She will be missed so very much. Shirley had faith and was a believer in Jesus Christ and His saving grace. Her faith helped her endure and she ran a good race to the finish. Her wish would be that you would do the next right thing no matter what it is and Praise the Lord! Amen
