JERSEYVILLE
Mrs. Anna Mathilda Hefner, 81, wife of G. Sherman Hefner, died in her sleep Friday night at her home, 405 N. Lafayette St.
Mrs. Hefner was born March 27, 1882, to the late Mr. and Mrs. David Crone.
She was a member of Order of Eastern Star, Jerseyville, and belonged to American Legion Auxilliary.
Surviving beside her husband are two sons, Robert E., and C. Eugene, Jerseyville; a daughter, Mrs. Lois Brooks, Springfield; two sisters, Mrs. Charlotte Post and Mrs. Ethel Belt, Jerseyville; two brothers, Edward Ernest Crone, Jerseyville; seven grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
Funeral rites will be Monday at 2 p.m. in First Baptist Church, with the Rev. Harold E. Lane officiating.
Visiting hours at Jacoby Funeral Home will be after 2 p.m. Sunday.
