He did his military training in St Louis, MO.
Dib departed Hoboken, NJ, aboard the Steamer Victoria on August 13, 1918 bound for Montreal QC. He eventually landed in France and fought in the Meuse-Argonne Offensive where he was killed in action. Age 29.
