My Cousin

Kelly Robert Mason was born July 3, 1956 in Bakersfield, California. He married his wife, C in 1982, and in 1991 they moved their family to make a home in Coeur d'Alene, Idaho. From 2012 to present, Kelly and C decided to live in an RV full time and travel between Coeur d'Alene and Bakersfield, to be near their children. He died March 16, 2018 in Bakersfield from complications due to Pneumonia. He sold cars while living in Coeur d'Alene, and returned each year to sell RV's for Barry's RV in Bakersfield. He loved and cherished his wife and the adventures they went on together, especially traveling and enjoying the beauty of the country and spending time with their kids and grandbabies. They loved going together on bicycle rides, long motorcycle rides, and fishing. He enjoyed taco trucks, Basque food, and a good cold beer. He loved rebuilding his '55 Ford F-100, purchased as a teen and finally got to drive it in 2016.

Predeceased by his mom, D and dad, H Mason, sister, Leslie Marcelli, and brother, He

leaves behind his wife of 36 years, ; two sons, and a daughter; including spouses and his grandchildren. He left everyone with an imprint of his love and humor.

The hole he will leave in our lives is as deep as it is painful. But, we are blessed to have had a man in our lives that loved us so deeply and would do anything for his family and friends. No words will ever begin to describe how much we will miss him. Our pain is only comforted by knowing that he now rests in the presence and peace of his Lord.

There will be a service to celebrate his life Friday, March 23rd at 10 am at New Life Church Southwest in the Spanish Auditorium. There will be a reception afterward at a different location. Because he had 2 homes, there will be another time in Coeur d'Alene, Idaho soon for everyone to join the family in another celebration.
