Mr. Billy Walsh Garrett, age 86, of Shelbyville, Kentucky, formerly of Bedford, Kentucky, passed away on Tuesday, March 1, 2022, at Jewish Hospital in Louisville, Kentucky. Born September 3, 1935, in LaGrange, Kentucky, he was the son of Jesse and Marvin (Chambers) Garrett.

Mr. Garrett was a graduate of Oldham County High School. He served in the United States Army from July 8, 1957, until July 7, 1960, when he was honorably discharged with the rank of Specialist 4 and transferred the US Army reserves. He was baptized at Liberty Baptist Church in Skylight, Kentucky, and enjoyed fishing and shooting guns. He retired in 1996 as an inspector for Ford Motor Company in Louisville after serving there for thirty-three years.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, the former Marie Davis, to whom he was married on July 9, 1960, in Hull, Massachusetts, and who died in 1996; two brothers and one sister.
