Father of Walter Peter Evans, Jr. (Janelle), Philip Andrew Evans (Mindy), Shonda M. Evans Loyola (Douglas) and Tina M. Esteve Moya (Tulio).
Son of the late Porter Earl Evans and Clare Miller Evans.
Brother of Mary Ellen Evans Sievers (Russell), Gilbert Earl Evans (Sue) and the late Susan Evans Carr.
Grandfather of Nicholas W. Loyola, Cody M. Cooper-Borges (Samantha), Austin M. Evans (Jessica), Peyton L. Loyola, Kylie N. Evans, Dylana C. Evans, Heidy M. Evans and Claire L. Loyola. Great grandfather of Skylar Loyola, Ezra Cooper-Borges, Athena Evans, Amelia Evans, and awaiting arrival of 5th great-granddaughter in September. Also survived by numerous cousins, nieces, nephews and other relatives.
He was a native of New Orleans, LA and a resident of Marrero, LA and was a Pressman with the Times-Picayune for over 40 years.
Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Memorial Mass on Friday, July 24, 2020 at 12 noon at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, 4401 7th Street, Marrero, LA. A Memorial Visitation will be held at the church from 9am until 12noon. Interment, Westlawn Memorial Park.
