Kathryn Elizabeth Black was born April 29, 1927, in Maysville, Kentucky to Orville and Mary (Brooks) Black. At age 93, she passed on Wednesday, July 15, 2020, in Columbus, Ohio.

Kathryn was a member of Bethel Baptist in Maysville before moving to Columbus, Ohio. She was also a faithful member of Community Baptist Church in Columbus, Ohio with Pastor Mitchell McGuire, where she sang in the choir and was an usher. Later she joined Christ Memorial Baptist Church , Columbus, Ohio and she joined the choir. She was a faithful member until her health prevented her from attending.

Preceded in death by her parents, Orville and Mary Black.

Kathryn leaves to cherish her memories her loving and devoted daughter, Geraldine Cauley; grandchildren, Angela Cauley (Ian Blunt) of Columbus, Ohio and Dirk (Camille) Cauley of Cheverly , Maryland; 6 great-grandchildren , Sydney, Tylyr, Amina, Nasir, Erin; a host of nieces nephews and cousins.
