Born Tuesday, October 14, 1941 in Chambersburg, he was a son of the late Wayne F. and Loretta Hershey Craig, Sr.
Wayne was a 1959 graduate of the Shippensburg Area Senior High School. He went to Auctioneering School in Decatur, Indiana.
He was a lifelong livestock dealer along with his father, starting Wayne F. Craig & Sons. His father and he started a legacy in the livestock industry that they passed on to their sons and grandsons. He was the happiest when he was with his family and work.
He was a member of the the Orrstown Lodge # 262 F & A.M., the Tall Cedars of Lebanon Valley Forest # 145, and the Orrstown P.O.S. of A. # 245.
Wayne is survived by his wife of 56 years, Glenda " Kay " Gayman Craig whom he married August 3, 1963; one daughter, Cathy (Randy) VanScyoc; two sons, Wayne F. (Judy) Craig III, and Timothy (Stephanie) Craig; grandchildren, Craig ( Alison) VanScyoc, Spencer (Alexis) VanScyoc, Carter VanScyoc, Wayne F. (Laken) Craig IV, Wyatt Craig, Wade Craig, and step grandson Brandon Alloway; great grandchildren, Lennox and Landry VanScyoc, Everly and Maizey Craig, and step great granddaughter, Luna Williams; siblings, Jeffrey Craig and his companion, Pamela McNew, and Susan Craig (Christopher) Fisher; and his beloved pet, Sugar, his Shih Tzu.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Savannah Grace Craig.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, July 20, 2020, at 10:30 a.m. at the Tall Timbers Park, 3159 Orrstown Road, Orrstown, PA 17244, with the Rev. Murray Stevens officiating. Burial will be in Spring Hill Cemetery. A viewing will be held on Sunday, July 19, 2020, from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the Fogelsanger-Bricker Funeral Home & Crematorium, Inc., Shippensburg.
