AGE 93 YEARS
Mary T. (Lenane) Devine of Arlington, formerly of Brighton, died July 15, 2020,
at the Charlwell House Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Norwood, Massachusetts. She was the daughter of the late Peter and Mary (Culkeen) Lenane. She was raised in Allston and graduated from Brighton High School with the Class of 1944. Following her graduation, Mary took a postion with the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, working as a secretary in the Department of Education.
Mary married her beloved husband, Joseph F. Devine, on October 20, 1956 in Saint Anthony's Church in Allston. Together, they made their home in Brighton, where Mary took on the role of a homemaker, raising and caring for her young family.
Beloved wife of the late Joseph F. Devine. Loving mother of Sheila Peterson of Franklin and Michael Devine of Braintree and their spouses. Cherished grandmother of 5 grandchildren. Sister of Helen Ambrose of Hanson, the late John Lenane, the late Paul Lenane, and the late Thomas Lenane.
Interment: New Calvary Cemetery in Mattapan.
