Funeral services for James Powell (Judge) Hunter, 59, president of Hunter Plastic Sales Co., will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at St. James Methodist Church.
Mr. Hunter, a native of Atlanta, lived at 193 Boiling Rosd NE. He was a member of the official board of St. James Methodist Church and an honorary member of the Cerebral Palsy School of Atlanta.
An active Boy Scout worker, Mr. Hunter was awarded the Silver Beaver and Antelope awards by the Boy Scouts. He was a member of the Masons and the Yaarab Temple of the Shrine.
Survivors include his wife, the former Betty Wilson; a son, James P. Hunter Jr., Smyrna; a sister, Mrs. Herbert Mease, Jacksonville, Fla., and two brothers, Harry Hunter, New Orleans, La., and Earl Hunter of St. Thomas, the Virgin Islands.
