Clarence McDonald, Sr. departed this life on July 12, 2020 at Bayhealth Hospital, Sussex Campus in Milford, DE. He was born to the late Johnny and Betty McDonald in Lincoln, DE on December 30, 1940.

Clarence attended Banneker High School in Milford, DE. He later joined the Army in 1956 and was employed as an engineer for nine years in the National Guard. He later worked various jobs in the dry-cleaning business.

Clarence enjoyed keeping everyone laughing, riding his motorcycle, enjoying life with his family, and was a lover of hospitality as he would never turn anyone away who was in need.

Clarence was preceded in death by his parents, his late, loving wife of 42 years, Priscilla Mae Hicks-McDonald, daughters Clarenceine McDonald and Denis McDonald, brother Johnny McDonald Jr, his sister, Pastor Shirley McDonald-Sudler.

Clarence leaves to cherish his memory his children, Clarence McDonald Jr., Dover, DE, Alexander McDonald, Wyoming, DE (wife Valerie) Richard McDonald Dover, DE Mark McDonald, Dover, DE Jackquiline Douglas, Dover, DE, Linda Baynard-McDonald – wife, step-children Linda Bell (husband Derin), LaNeeka Jaimoshio, Jame, Keira, Aalyah and Jamesha, brother pastor Eddie McDonald (wife Ella Mae), sisters-in-law, Norma Jean Hick, Leora Kenney, Mary Ellen Pough (husband Larry), Patricia Chisum (husband George), Maxine Hicks, Late John Hicks, Leroy Hicks, Keith Hicks, 31 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, as well as a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, friends, and a special thank-you to CeCe Baynard for all the love and care she showed him.

Services will be Saturday, July 18, 2020, 11:00 a.m. at Bibleway Institutional C.O.G.I.C, 56 S. Kirkwood St., Dover, DE 19904. Interment to follow at Gibbs Memorial Park, Dover, DE.

Due to Covid-19 restrictions, masks and social distancing will be followed, as well as amount of attendees will be limited.
