A private memorial service will take place at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, July 25, 2020 at Beals Cemetery. Friends and neighbors are invited to drive through the cemetery to pay their respects during the service. A celebration of life for family, friends and neighbors will take place at a later date. Schilling Funeral Home is assisting the family.
Rick was born on April 19, 1953 in Mattoon the son of Joyce Beals Morgan and Iola June (Maker) Morgan.
Survivors include his sister, Marianne Morgan; brothers, Gary W. (Elinor) Morgan and their children, Cheri (Allen) Cameron, Jeremy Morgan, Christopher (Elizabeth) Morgan; Tim (Josie) Morgan and their children, Jamie Beck and Kristin (Bob) Becker; and 7 great nieces and nephews. Rick was preceded in death by his parents and canine companion, Buddy.
Rick was known as the neighborhood computer consultant. His favorite pastime was visiting with his neighbors.
Rick liked to make people laugh and will be remembered for his willingness to help others. Rick loved the woods and enjoyed taking his nieces and nephews riding on his four wheeler. He will be greatly missed by all those who knew him.
