Mak was a 2020 graduate of Salem High School and attended MCCTC as an adult education student completing his Firefighter I and Firefighter II certifications. He was a member of Green Township Fire Department and the Mahoning County HazMat team. He previously was a member of the Beaver Township Fire Department Explorers Program. He was a member of Salem First United Methodist Church where he participated in the Children’s Choir, Youth Bell Choir and played guitar in the Praise Band. Mak enjoyed fishing, hunting, boating, the ocean, playing the guitar, playing pool with his family, and showing steer as a member of the Lone Rangers 4H Club at the Columbiana County Fair.

A time of visitation will take place from 1 to 6 p.m. Sunday, July 19, 2020 at “The Stone Trough,” 12244 Salem Warren Road, Salem, Ohio 44460. Green Township Fire Department and other local agencies will render Mak’s last call at 6 p.m. Due to the current health crisis we urge all guests to adhere to the mandated health guidelines. Masks and maintaining social distance of 6 feet between families is encouraged. This time of visitation will be outdoors so please dress appropriately. Attendants will be at the location to help guide guests. A private family funeral will take place at 11 a.m. Monday, July 20, 2020 at Brown Funeral Home, 510 Jennings Ave. Salem, Ohio 44460. Memorial contributions can be made in Mak’s honor to the “Mak Kidd Fund” c/o First United Methodist Church, PO Box 463, Salem, Ohio 44460. Those who will not be able to attend the funeral may watch the services live streamed under Mak’s obituary at brownfhonline.com. Interment will take place at Hope Cemetery, Salem.
