FUNERAL OF MRS. TOMLINSON
The funeral of the late Mrs. Emily E. Tomlinson took place at the old Protestant Episcopal church at Fall Creek, on Friday.
The services were conducted by the Reverend Mr. McFadon, and were of an unusually impressive character. The funeral discourse was carefully prepared, and was an address which will long be remembered by all who heard it.
Mrs. Tomlinson was laid to rest in the church burying ground, where her grave will be hallowed by her children for all time.
She was the daughter of Eli and Margaret Seehorn, and the wife of the late James Tomlinson. Born in Fall Creek May 28, 1852, she had lived in that township all her life, and enjoyed the highest esteem of a wide circle of friends and acquaintances.
She leaves three children -- James, Sallie, and Charles Tomlinson. Just in the prime of life, her death will be most sincerely regretted by all who knew her.
