Funeral services for Mr. Vincent Jacques Jones, of East Dublin, Georgia, will be held on Saturday, July 18, 2020, at 11 AM, at the graveside in the Dudley Memorial Cemetery on East Mary Street in Dublin. Dr. Christopher Watkins will deliver the eulogy.

Mr. Jones was born to Carlton and Christine Jones on July 16, 1973, at the Laurens Memorial Hospital in Dublin. He is a graduate of West Laurens High School in the Class of 1991. He joined Millville Baptist Church at the age of 13 where he sang in the Youth Choir until he graduated from high school. Not long after his high school graduation, Vincent began working at Forstmann, Inc, and remained until they closed their doors. Later he held jobs with the Laurens County Sanitation and Trucks, Inc., at Southeast Paper, and at Evans Disposal. He worked with the Laurens County School System as a bus driver and a part-time custodian at East Laurens from 2010 until his death. He would say working for the Laurens County School system was his most rewarding job of all; he loved the kids and the staff of the east side dearly.

Mr. Vincent Jones led a life of love and laughter with his family, friends and coworkers. He never met a stranger. He always had a smile and hug to share. He had a way of bringing laughter and smiles to those around him. On July 7, 2020, the Lord called Vincent Jacques Jones home.

Mr. Jones was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Cleavland and Linnie Mae Jones; his maternal grandparents, Andrew “Bud” and Clara Wilson, uncles, Grover Jones, Earnest Jones, Elester James “EJ” Jones, Isaac Jones, Magellan Jones, Homer Jones, James Ashley and Johnny Denson, aunts, Ellen Jones, Sally Mae Stevenson, Lizzie Jones, Johnny Stanley and Helen Lois White, his sister-in-law, Tamika Moody, and his first cousins, Brian Ashley, Derek Washington and Albert Stanley.

Mr. Jones leaves to cherish his memory his wife, Crystal Moody Jones, whom he married on July 23, 2005, and their children, Dae’Nica Moody (Kemon Calloway), and Jared Moody of East Dublin, his parents, Carlton and Christine Jones of Montrose, Georgia, his devoted sister, Erica Jones, and his loving niece, Jasmynn Jones of Montrose, Georgia, his mother-in-Law, Rosaline Moody, and brother-in-law, Joe E. Moody, III, both of Yonkers, New York, and father-in-law, Joe E. Moody, Jr., of Maryland, his grandchildren, Kamar and Krystal Callaway, his nieces, Nydirah Moody, Abigail Derosier and Tamia Derosier, his nephews, Andre Derosier and Tajh Derosier; great-nieces, Lola Moody and Promyse Derosier, honorary daughter, Tamara Deverueux, and two honorary brothers, Gregory Tucker and Harry Carr, and three devoted cousins who were like his brothers, Pastor Carlos Jones, Orenthal “OJ” Arline and Darwin Stanley. He is also survived by his uncles, Oscar (Annie Lois) Jones of Montrose, Georgia, Cleveland (Annette) Jones of Atlanta, Georgia, Douglas Wilson of Montrose, Georgia, and Robert Wilson (Gracie) of District Height, Maryland, his aunts, Anita Ashley, Gerri Carter, Gwendolyn Stanley of Montrose, Georgia; Vivian Denson, and Clarietha (Apostle James) Bell of Dublin, Georgia, Ellie Bell Golden of Jacksonville, Florida, and Willie Mae Jones and Johnny Jones of Atlanta, Georgia, a great-aunt, Mary Breziel of Macon, Georgia, and a host of devoted cousins and friends.
