JANESVILLE, WI—Raymond C. Buchert, 92, formerly of Oconomowoc, WI died Saturday, Feb. 1, 1997 at his home in Janesville.

He was born in Concord, WI on July 17, 1904, the son of Henry and Bertha (Schultz) Buchert.

He married Leona Groth on Oct. 20, 1929 in Lebanon, WI. She preceded him in death in Sept. 1980.

He was a member of St. Luke’s Lutheran Church in Rome and a member of the Golden “K” Kiwanis Club in Oconomowoc.

He is survived by one son, Earl Buchert of Plymouth; one brother, Henry and Hazel Buchert of Watertown; 10 grandchildren; 19 great grandchildren; two daughters-in-law, Elain Perry of Janesville and Carla Buchert of Oconomowoc, and nieces and nephews.

He was also preceded in death by his parents, three sons: Raymond W., Neal, and Dennis, two grandchildren: Ronnie and Jeffrey, and two brothers, Clarence and Harold.

Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. Tuesday at the Pagenkopf Funeral Home in Oconomowoc and after 10 a.m. Wednesday at St. Luke’s Lutheran Church until time of services.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday at 11 a.m. at St. Luke’s Lutheran Church in Rome, with the Rev. Rick Lawrence officiating.

Burial will be in Glenview Memorial Gardens in Ixonia, WI.
