Steven Lee Fowler, 68, of Mars Hill, went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, July 15, 2020.
Steven was born July 12, 1952 to his late parents, Loyd and Leta Roberts Fowler. He was a Lead Mechanic in the textile industry, working for Champion, then retiring from Derringer. An avid coil collector, he also enjoyed being with friends, reading, loved farming, and would volunteer to fight forest fires.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by numerous aunts and uncles.
Left to cherish his memory are: his daughter, Ashley Fowler; grandson, Jordan Woody; sister, Gay Henderson and her husband Stevie; nephews, Brad Hamlin and his wife, Brittany and Todd Hamlin and his wife, Brittany; great nephew, Brayden Hamlin; special friends, Lynn McFall and Billie Lamb; as well as several other special family members and friends.
A graveside service will be held at 2:00 pm on Sunday, July 19, 2020 at Bowman-Rector Cemetery with Pastor James Briggs officiating.
