Mrs John McGill
On Tuesday Mrs John McGill (nee Jane McCann) was
called hence, having reached her 88th year. Deceased was born in County Down, Ireland, and after her marriage to Mr John McGill they came to Canada, reaching her sixty years ago last July. They came to Ramsay and her home has been in that township ever since, for the past few years with her daughter, Mrs Peter T. Syme, of the tenth line. Four sons and three daughters were born to them, three of whom, James, Mrs Robt Fulton and Mrs Geo Greigson, are dead. Those living are John in Pakenham, Mrs Peter Syme and Alex., Ramsay, and Thos and David, Blakeney. Brothers of deceased who are still living are Messrs Thos McCann of Pakenham, and James of Almonte. The funeral takes place this (Thursday) afternoon to the eighth line cemetery.
