APEX, NC: Ann Tevepaugh Bass, 70, passed away after a brief illness at Wake Medical Center in Raleigh. Born in Sampson County on January 5, 1950; she was the daughter of the late James Alex Tevepaugh and Martha Elizabeth Johnson Tevepaugh, sister of the late Percy and Milton Tevepaugh and wife of the late Raymond Bass.

Ann enjoyed nothing more than time spent with her family and showed her love through her talent for cooking. She was known for her Thanksgiving and Christmas feasts of ham, turkey and all the fixings and had been working for many years with Sodexo as a short order cook, presently at Novartis in Holly Springs. An avid Stephen King movie fanatic, Ann thought herself lucky to have found Steve later in life and together they enjoyed watching her horror films these last years.

She is survived by her sister: Carol Bessette (the late Bob), of Florida; two sons: Danny Bass (Nancy), of Harnett Co. and Ronnie Bass (Ann Crocker), of Lillington; grandchildren: Michael Ray Bass (Asya), Ricky Ray Bass, Kayla Stewart (Jonathan) and Kasey Bass; great-grandchildren: McKenzie, Emma, Katie, Emily, Elizabeth and Ayvah; and by her boyfriend: Stephen Yeoman.

Graveside Services will be held on Tuesday, June 9th at 11 am at Raleigh Memorial Park. The service will be recorded and posted to the Facebook page of Mitchell Funeral Home at Raleigh Memorial Park for those unable to attend.
