Floyd D. “PeeWee” Roberts, age 88, died on Wednesday, December 30, 2015 at his Jackson, TN residence.
“PeeWee” was born in McKenzie, TN on March 28, 1927, the son of the late Floyd W. and Virgie B. Smith Roberts. He served his county in the United States Navy during WW II and was employed with South Central Bell for over forty years. He was a member of St. Johns Masonic Lodge 332 and the VFW Post 1848.
He is survived by his wife of 67 years, Maridel Mason Roberts of Jackson, TN; two daughters, Tracy Roberts Friddle (Don) and Robin Roberts Sanders (Greg) all of Jackson, TN; two sisters, Peggy Compton and Shirley Hilliard both of Tupelo, MS; four grandchildren, Paige Edwards (Eddie) Chip Sanders (Lauren), Nathan Craig and Anna Kate Craig and five great grandchildren, Lee and Riley Edwards, Autumn, Kady and Madison Sanders
SERVICES: A funeral service will be held at 1:00 PM Thursday, December 31, 2015 in the chapel of Arrington Funeral Directors with Rev. Terry Hunley officiating. A private burial will follow. The family will receive friends on Thursday from 12:00 PM until 1:00 PM prior to the service.
