Wesley Reeves, age 84, went to be with the Lord while surrounded by his family on July 13, 2020. Born on January 23, 1936 in Niceville, Florida to Avery and Bessie Reeves. Wesley raised his family in Choctaw Beach and moved to Escambia Farms when he was in his 60’s. Wesley worked for many years building roads and laying asphalt across the panhandle of Florida. Wesley enjoyed farming, fishing, hunting and feeding the deer, but most of all he loved his family.

Wesley was preceded in death by his parents and 2 sons: Danny Foley and Joe Reeves.

Wesley is survived by his wife, of 62 years, Rosa Reeves; sons, Jimmy Reeves and wife Cindy, and David Reeves; daughter, Julie Landreth and husband Wally; brother, Gene Reeves and wife Myrlene; sisters, Elizabeth Freeman, and Linda Lane and husband Jerry; seventeen grandchildren, 33 great-grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family.

A time of visitation with the family will be held on Friday, July 17, 2020 from 1:00-2:00pm at Whitehurst-Powell Funeral Home with the funeral service starting at 2:00pm. Burial will follow at Cotton Cemetery.
