CAROLYN METCALF, 78, of Memphis, died September 1, 2007 at the Regional Hospital. The family will receive friends Monday, September 3 from 11:30 a.m. until 1:30 p.m. at Bodkin Funeral Home in Milan, TN. Graveside service will be held at 2 p.m., Monday, September 3 in Oakwood Cemetery in Milan, TN. She was born July 19, 1929 in Varsailles,Kentucky, the daughter of the late Katherine Hale and Homer Metcalf. She was preceded in death by a dear aunt, Johnnie Hale Metcalf. Miss Metcalf graduated from Milan High School. She then attended the University of Kentucky in Lexington, and graduated from Bowling Green Business College. She retired after thirty-five years with KPMG in Memphis, TN. She was a member of Idlewild Presbyterian Church, Memphis, TN. Her brother, Jerry Metcalf and wife, Billie Ruth of Cleveland, MS survive Miss Metcalf. She was preceded in death by her brother, Robert Metcalf and her sister, Nancy Stephens. She is also survived by two nephews, Danny Stephens and wife, Jodi, of Grapevine, TX and Buddy Metcalf of Gallatin, TN; four nieces, Kathryn Lewis and husband, Greg of Jackson, TN Jackson, TN, Deborah Campbell and husband, Charles of Jackson, TN, Paula Ferrell and husband, Bradley of Gallatin, TN, and Nancy Franklin and husband, Scott of Gallatin, TN.
