Hermal J. Hubbard, 87, of Marion, passed away in her home on Sunday, July 12, 2020. She was born in Newaygo, Michigan, on Thursday, October 27, 1932, to Lincoln and Agnes (Wells) Chase. On September 21, 1949, she married Leon G. Hubbard, who preceded her in death.

Hermal graduated from Grant High School in Grant, Michigan. She worked in Production for ten years with Fisher Body (General Motors) in Grand Rapids, Michigan. She attended Sunnycrest United Methodist Church and was a children’s Sunday school teacher at Grant Wesleyan Church, West Shore Christian Fellowship, and Shoreline Christ Fellowship. She was also a children’s Junior Church leader, Youth Group leader, prayer warrior, soul winner, Christian exhorter, and inspirational encourager to obey God and His will.

She is survived by her sons, Rick (Kate) Hubbard of West Palm Beach, FL, and Michael (Carla) Hubbard of Spring Lake, MI; daughter, Kathy (Mark) Helm of Marion; 8 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents.

At Hermal's request, there will be no public visitation or funeral service. Burial will take place at a late date at Ashland Cemetery in Grant, Michigan.

The family will have a private celebration of her life in Florida at a later date.
