Amy Lee Miller, age 57, cherished wife, mother, grandmother, sister, daughter and friend, returned to our Lord on December 10, 2018, from complications of her third reoccurrence of cancer. In her final days, she was surrounded by faith, family and friends.

Amy is survived by her loving husband, Dennis as well as her son, Sean; daughters, Kelsey (Bird) and Shannon; her grandchildren; Colby and Molly.

Amy was known for her loving attitude and faith in our Lord. She was an active woman who enjoyed cross-stitching, knitting, geocaching and chasing her grandchildren around. She loved to learn and was interested in various areas so when she attended Louisiana Tech, she received a degree in General Studies. She then received an MBA. She participated in ROTC as an undergraduate and served the United States Air Force for approximately four years, then an additional 13 years in the Reserves. As an active duty Air Force officer and then a full-time active duty spouse, she made the temporary assignments memorable and the transitions to new ones seamless. She filled all 21 of our homes with love and comfort.

She was fortunate to be able to spend ample time with her children, juggling soccer, swimming, dance classes and walking the dogs. She was a strong woman who was extremely skilled at making friends anywhere she went and, in any situation, (often to the embarrassment of her children). She was active in the various communities that she resided in and the different organizations she belonged to. She was the first one to volunteer, and was the last one to leave, she made it a priority to make personal connections with the people she met along the way. She spent her free time knitting hats and prayer shawls for cancer patients, praying for others, and lending a helping hand to anyone who needed it. After her first diagnosis, she became a spokesperson for ovarian cancer and mentored other women battling the disease to continue fighting, ultimately helping many women complete the treatment program. She exuded positivity, strength and hope.
