Born in Steubenville, OH, he was the son of John Madden and Maxine Spiker Madden Huff of Weirton. He graduated from Weir High School in 1955. He worked at Weirton Steel Corporation as a Cost Accountant, retiring in 1988. John was a veteran of the US Marine Corps.
He was a member of the Trinity Lutheran Church in Weirton. John was an avid golfer and enjoyed many hours golfing at the former Woodview Golf Course in New Cumberland, WV
John is survived by one daughter, Cheryl Madden of Sewickley, PA; one grandson, Devon Delaney Brown of Raleigh, NC; and one granddaughter, Skylar Madison Brown of Sewickley. He was predeceased by his former wife of 30 years Shirley Jean Wood Madden, his parents; two brothers, Anthony Madden and Patrick Huff, and one sister, Betty Jane Huff Bridge.
Cremation and private burial will be held at the Cemetery of the Alleghenies in Bridgeville, PA.
