Matt McClure, 49, passed away on Tuesday July 7 th .

Matt is preceded in death by his parents N. Frank and Shirley McClure, and sister Patricia.

Matt is survived by his devoted wife of 27 years Tara, three beautiful daughters McKenzie, Madison, and Morgan, older sister and brothers Sharon (Bob), David (Sherry), and Mark (Amy), and many beloved extended family members in Pennsylvania and New England.

Matt was born on April 29 th , 1971 in Harrisburg, PA and relocated to Phoenix, AZ with family in
1983. Throughout his childhood, Matt enjoyed many sports including gymnastics and pole vaulting. He continued his education at Arizona State University, earning both a bachelor’s degree in Aeronautical Engineering and an MBA, and spent over 24 years as a highly-respected Mechanical Engineer for Honeywell Aerospace (our own personal “rocket scientist”), and recently retired to pursue entrepreneurial endeavors. Matt had a sense of adventure and enjoyed drives on his motorcycle, flying airplanes, hiking Camelback Mountain with his wife, running in the annual Pat’s (Tillman) Run, snowboarding with his girls, attending Diamondback games, ziplining with his family in Hawaii, and vacationing with friends in Rocky Point. Most of all, Matt enjoyed time with his family and was a Cheerleader Dad (literally). He attended each girls’ competitions through the years, but was always on top of their studies, and enjoyed every date night possible with his wife. His cherished friends and family will miss him greatly.

Due to COVID19 occupancy limitations, a memorial service will be held by invitation only on Thursday July 23rd at Falconer Funeral Home, for which a live stream will be available, details forthcoming. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his name to the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention (www.afsp.org).
