Funeral services for Christopher McKee will be held on Thursday, July 16, 2020, 2:00 PM at the Riverside Unity Church in Boswell, OK with Pastors Tim Harless and Chad Moffat officiating with burial at the McKee Family Cemetery.
Christopher passed away July 12, 2020, in Hugo, Oklahoma, at the age of 46.
Christopher David McKee was born July 2, 1974, in Hugo, Oklahoma to Harvey David and Nelda Jo (Parkhill) McKee. He had lived in this area all of his life and attended the Come and See Cowboy Church in Soper, OK
Christopher married Dawn Roan on October 10, 1992 at the Rivers of Grace Church. Christopher went to welding school and worked as a contract laborer on a ranch and various jobs as they came available. His family-especially the grandchildren-were his life.
He enjoyed rescuing stray animals to give to the kiddos like turkeys, multiple dogs, turtles, and pot-bellied pigs. Christopher found a enjoyable challenge in trading; by obtaining other people's junk and haggling to gain more valuable equipment/junk. He always was thinking of others and would help anybody in need.
Chris is deeply missed. He is preceded in death by his parents.
Christopher is survived by his wife, Dawn of the home; his children, Tanner Mckee and wife, Kisha of Goodland, OK, Mia Cherry and husband, Ronnie of Durant, OK, Tyna McKee of Soper, OK and Harley McKee of Durant, OK; "His Boys"; "Gran" Betty Parkhill of Duncan, OK;
Brother, Michael Roan & wife, Grace of Valliant, OK; sisters, Lori Ellis & husband Chris of Pearland, TX, Misty McKee of Mead, OK, P.J. Webster of Durant, OK;
Grandchildren, Terry and Tripp Gibson, Rainee Dukes, Brannon, Jaden, and Jacob Cherry, Hailey Conner, and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews.
