EARL ALLEN
February 5, 1937 ~ July 14, 2020

Graveside services for Mr. Earl Allen will be held at 10:00 AM on Monday, July 20, 2020 at the Battiest Cemetery in Battiest, OK.

Services are under the direction of Brumley Funeral Home in Broken Bow, OK.

Family and friends are invited to come by, pay respects and sign the register book from 1:00 PM until 4:00 PM on Sunday, July 19, 2020 at Brumley Funeral Home.

Earl was born on February 5, 1937 in Clebit, OK. He passed from this life on July 14, 2020 at the age of 83.

Earl was a lifelong resident of McCurtain County. He was affiliated with the Battiest Assembly of God. He enjoyed hunting and fishing, wood working and was an avid Western book reader. He was a hard-working man and worked up until his passing. His children referred to him as a “gentle giant.”

Earl was preceded in death by his parents, Hobson and Grace (Foshee) Allen; brother, Dale Allen; and sisters, Wilma Mize, Helen Allen, Aubrey Swihart and Mildred Peters.

Left to cherish his memory are his wife of 64 years, Robbie (Bodiford) Allen of the home; sons, David Allen of Broken Bow, OK and Wendell Allen of Broken Bow, OK; daughters, Judy Allen of Broken Bow, OK, Carol Gray (husband, Randy) of Idabel, OK;

Brother, Tom Allen (wife, Toni) of Broken Bow, OK; and sister-in-law, Alene Allen of Broken Bow, OK.

He is also survived by 9 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, and a number of nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family members and friends.
