Donald Mitchell Adkins, 82, passed away Tuesday, July 14, 2020, in Richmond. He was born November 10, 1937 in Marrero, Louisiana to John Mitchell Adkins and Dorothea S. Deshotel Adkins. Donald was a member of College Park Baptist Church in Houston.

Survivors include his wife of 62 years, Helen Faye Adkins, 2 children, Barry Adkins and wife, Karla, Kathy Stauffacher; brother, Herbert W. Adkins; 4 grandchildren, Rebecca, Michelle, David II, Matthew; 6 great-grandchildren, Elizabeth, Silas, Ethan, Evelyn, Lucas, and Madison; along with a host of other loving family members and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Sybil Dorman; and son, David Adkins.

Funeral services will be held Monday, July 20, 2020, at 10:00 A.M. in the Chapel at Davis Greenlawn Funeral Home, with Pastor Zane Crawford officiating. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Memorial Park.
