Richard Maynard passed away Tuesday July 7, 2020 at home in W. Melbourne FL. at the age of 82.
He was born on January 12, 1938 in Providence RI. He served 4 years in the U.S Navy and then worked at Barker Chadsey as a salesman for 25 years. He then retired after 15 years from the Rhode Island Blood Center. He and his wife, Phyllis retired to Florida in 2003, where he worked for Space Coast Hyundai part time for an additional 15 years.
Richard is survived by daughter, Cindy Maynard Strom and husband Jeffrey Strom of West Melbourne FL.; daughter, Charleen Ricci and husband John Ricci of Coventry, RI.; sister, Jackie Delfino of Coventry, RI.; brother Leo Maynard and wife Gayle Maynard of Coventry RI.; granddaughter Meaghan Albanese and husband Henry Albanese of Johnston, RI.; Grandson Matthew Furtado of West Warwick RI.; and also has 5 step grandchildren; Alex, Felicia, Josh, Mike and Aubrey. He was preceded by wife Phyllis Maynard and Daughter Cheryl Furtado.
Richard enjoyed life to the fullest. He loved to travel and spend time with family and friends. He loved going on cruises and spending his free time on the Victory Casino boat. He was a wonderful and loving father, husband, grandfather, and friend. He will be missed greatly and will be forever in our hearts. His final resting place will be next to his wife and daughter in West Warwick RI.
Celebration Service will be held at Our Lady of Lourdes, Melbourne Fl., on Monday, July 20, 2020 at 11 A.M.
Interment to be held on July 28, 2020 at 10 A.M. at Notre Dame Cemetery Burlingame Road West Warwick, Kent County, Rhode Island, USA. Social Distancing and Masks are requested.
