Mr. Ernest Douglas Lee, age 75, passed away on Monday, July 13, 2020 at his home in Loris, SC. Mr. Lee was born on January 7, 1945 in Conway, SC, to the late Noah Lee and the late Reba Leigh Lee Owens.

He served his country with courage, honor, and distinction in the United States Air Force, retiring after 21 years. He received many awards and medals during his time serving in the Vietnam War. He was a longtime active member of Cherry Hill Baptist Church where he was a deacon for many years and served on the cemetery committee.

Survivors include his wife, Delila Todd Lee of the home; son, Alan Lee and wife, Tracey of Conway, SC; daughter, DeOnna Sutton and husband, Shane of Conway, SC; five grandchildren, Michael Sutton and wife, Heart, Dustin Sutton and wife, Shemaya, Natasha Fraser and husband, Michael, Chandler Lee, and Langlea Webb and husband, Hunter; three great-grandchildren, Emma Sutton, EverLynn Sutton, and Carter Webb; two brothers, Leon Lee of Ochachobee, FL and Thomas Lee and wife, Jean of Shalotte, NC; three sisters, Shelby Jo Weger and husband, Ron, Mozelle Taylor all of Loris, SC, and Barbara Coggins and husband, Wesley of Belmont, NC; and half-sister, Betty McFarline of Washington State.

Mr. Lee was predeceased by his son, Ryan Lee.

Funeral services for close friends and family will be held at 3:00 PM on Friday, July 17, 2020 at Cherry Hill Baptist Church with Pastor Joey Price and Rev. Ragsdale Allsbrook officiating. Committal services with military honors will follow at Cherry Hill Cemetery.
