Shirley was born on October 13, 1931 to Frank and Ellouise (Snyder) Smith of Carbondale.
Shirley is survived by her children, Robin, Laurie, and S. P. Connelly, all of Carbondale; her grandchildren; her siblings, Carmen of Florissant, MO, Jacquelyn of Carbondale, J. Smith of Myrtle Beach, SC, and F. Smith of Carbondale.
She was preceded in death by her parents and son, Charles “Davey” Platt.
A celebration of life/memorial service is pending.
