From a young age, Michael was a serious enthusiast of British cars. He spent most of his life restoring, showing, and racing cars, including his Morgan and Triumph TR3. Michael was an active member of the Houston Morgan Club, winning awards for his entries in car competitions. Once in retirement, Michael fulfilled his lifelong dream of traveling to England where he was able to attend the Goodwood Revival.
Michael will always be remembered as a man who had a heart of gold. He will be deeply missed by many.
Michael is survived by his daughter, Michelle Connor; son, Michael Connor, Jr., and his wife, Cheryl; son, Christopher Connor and his wife, Dara; grandchildren, Abigail, Ryan, Catherine, Emilee, Cadyn, and Avery.
Michael is preceded in death by both of his parents; his wife, Catherine Margret Connor; and older brother, James Lewis Connor, Jr.
A gathering of Mr. Connor's family and friends will begin at 1:00 p.m., with his funeral service to follow at 2:00 p.m., Friday, July 17, 2020, at Broussard's, 1605 North Major Drive, Beaumont. His interment will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park, Beaumont.
