Roy K. Stewart, age 72, of Hopkinsville, Kentucky, formerly of Cerulean, passed away Tuesday, July 14, 2020, at his home. Born June 5, 1948 in Cerulean, he was the son of the late Roy Kenneth and Eliza (Turner) Stewart, Sr. Roy K. worked for many years in the construction industry and with West Kentucky Door. He was a veteran of the United States Navy. In his free time, he enjoyed golfing, hunting, playing cards, and dirt track racing. What he loved most was spending time with his faithful companion, Remington. Mr. Stewart was a member of the Baptist faith.

He is survived by his wife of 26 years, Sharon (Menser) Stewart of Hopkinsville; three sons, Bill Stewart of Caldwell County, Ken (Alissa) Stewart of Hopkinsville, and Kendall Johnson of Hopkinsville; one daughter, Jodie Guess of Knoxville, Tennessee; two step-sons, Keith and Kerry (Jenna) Johnson, all of Hopkinsville; eight grandchildren; two sisters, Becky Brewer of Haysville, Kansas, and Debbie (Allen) Orten of Cerulean; and his canine companion, Remington.

There will be a memorial graveside service on Saturday, July 18, 2020 at 10:00 a.m. at Cerulean Cemetery, 210 Church Street, Cerulean, Kentucky. Arrangements are being handled by Goodwin Funeral Home, Inc., 138 Main Street in Cadiz, Kentucky.
