Rose Mary Abbe, age 70, passed away unexpectedly on July 9, 2020, at Allen County Regional Hospital, Iola, Kansas. Rose Mary was born April 5, 1950, in Luverne, Minnesota, to Elmer Munsen and Gladys (Utley) Munsen.

Rose Mary graduated in 1969 from Iola High School, Iola, Kansas. Rose Mary worked at Thompson Poultry, Iola, Kansas.

Rose Mary loved to read westerns, go to the casino, and for drives to the river. She loved people and she never met a stranger. Rose Mary was a cat lover. She is remembered for her infectious smile.

Rose Mary was preceded in death by her parents; and sister, Marilyn Almasi.

Rose Mary is survived by her sons, Scott Vink and wife, Michelle, Ottawa, Kansas, Rick Vink and wife, Therese, Eudora, Kansas, sisters, Joyce Peck and husband, Glenn, LaHarpe, Kansas, Alice Rohr and husband, Lonny, Iola, Kansas; grandchildren, Isaac Vink, Axavier Vink, Zetan Vink, Maria Vink, Davis Vink; and best friend and caretaker, Kelly Williams.

A memorial service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, July 20, 2020, at RiverTree Christian Church, Iola, Kansas. Private inurnment will be at a later date.
