Floyd Lee Couch, age 86, a resident of Braymer, Missouri, passed away on Thursday, July 9, 2020 at Bates County Memorial Hospital in Butler, Missouri.



Floyd was born the son of John and Beulah (Rackley) Couch on December 5, 1933 in Alton, Missouri. Floyd was a 1951 graduate of Couch High School, Couch, Missouri. Upon graduation, He joined the United States Air Force serving from 1952 until 1972, specializing in aircraft navigations. On February 26, 1955 in Kansas City, Missouri, Floyd was united in marriage with Mildred “Gina” Newland. She survives of the home. Upon retiring from the Air Force, Floyd began his Theological education at Central Bible College in Springfield, Missouri, where he earned his Bachelor’s. He later attained a Master's in Theology from the Assemblies of God Theological Seminary; and, eventually, he received a Doctorate of Theology as well. Floyd served as pastor and associate pastor of multiple churches in Missouri and Texas during a period of over 20 years. He was a humble and faithful servant of our Lord. Most recently, he attended Richmond Assembly of God in Richmond, Missouri, as well as the Gospel Christian Center in Cowgill, Missouri. Floyd was a Ham Radio operator with over 60 years of experience.



Survivors include: Floyd’s wife, Gina, of the home; three sons, Gregory Couch and wife Marcia of Cowgill, Missouri, Russell Couch and wife Cathleen of Rich Hill, Missouri, and Timothy Couch and wife Beverly of Cooper, Texas; twelve grandchildren, and 23 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, John Couch and Lloyd Couch, and one sister, Betty Wilson.



Funeral services will be held on Sunday, July 19, 2020 at 2:00 p.m. at the Assembly of God Church, Alton, Missouri. Burial will be held at New Salem Cemetery in Couch, Missouri.
