Thomas Jefferson Fouty was born October 10,1833 the son of Isaac Newton & Elizabeth Calor in Wood County, Viriginia. His brother & sisters were: Orma Fouty, Misscona Fout, Robet D. Fouty, George Fouty, Alice Fouty, Hugh Fouty, Virginia Fouty & Lydia Catherine Fouty, Sarah Francis Fouty Linscott.
Thomas was a Civil War Veteran. He enlisted at Antioch of Monroe County Ohio. He served with General Garfield. He was honorablely discharged due to health.
Thomas Jefferson Fouty married Nancy Fouty( Who was his second cousin) June 15, 1865 in Shelby County.
Their children were: Emma R. Fouty, Missonna Belle Fouty Tilson, George Wahsington Fouty, Ephraim Fouty, Nora Rachel Fouty Tracy.
Thomas was a veterinarian.
Thomas was an active member of the Fountaintown Christian Church. Thomas died June 23,1924. L.V. Hauk was in charge of his funeral arrangments. Rev. Ernest Addison officated his funeral. He was buried in the Fountaintown Cemetery.
