Andrew is named as a son of George Sheetz in his father's will, dated August 12, 1822. He is listed in the 1850 US PA Census records for Pennsylvania residing in Jefferson Township, Dauphin county. He gives his age as 33 years, and lists his occupation as a farmer. Besides his wife Catharine, there are three children in his household: Mary
(11), Aaron (9), and Elizabeth (7).
