Vera Virginia Powell Cartledge, 83, of Winona, died Wednesday, April 7, in Birmingham at the Brookwood Medical Center.
She was the widow of the late Reginald D. Cartledge.
She is survived by four daughters, Louise C. Lever of Reisterstown, Md., Nan C. Henry of Meridian, Virginia Calloway of Gastonia, NC, Marion C. Hall of Starkville; three sons, Reginald D. Cartledge, Jr. of Drew, Liston E. Cartledge of Mobile, Robert S. Cartledge of Homewood, Ala.; three sisters, Elnora P. Austin and Anece Minyard, both of Winona, Mary Frances Johnson of Greenwood; thirteen grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Services were held Friday, April 9 at 2:00 p.m. at the Moore Memorial United Methodist Church with the Rev. A. G. Clark officiating. Interment was in the Oakwood Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Wilson Johnson, Conner Minyard, Don Bodishbaugh, E. E. Davenport, Harvey Stafford, and Oliver Stafford.
Lee Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
