Bobby Layne Robertson of Abilene, Texas passed away on July 12, 2020 in Abilene.

Graveside services will be held Monday July 20, 2020, at 10:00 A.M. at the Texas State Veterans Cemetery in Abilene, Texas.

Services are under the direction of Hamil Family Funeral Home, 6449 Buffalo Gap Rd. Please be mindful of COVID-19 social distancing guidelines.

Bobby Layne Robertson was born in San Angelo, Texas on September 2, 1947 to Sidney Vernon Robertson and Rita Fay Fields.

Bob attended high school in Brady, Texas and attended college at Angelo State in San Angelo, Texas.

He was a Marine Corps Veteran having served in Vietnam. After his discharge from the Marines, Bob served six years in the Marine Corps Reserves. He considered his time in the Marine Corps as an honor and privilege.

Bob was a Christian by faith and was Baptized in the Church of Christ.

He was preceded in death by his father and mother and his beloved stepmother, Maxine Robertson.

Bob is survived by his brother S.V. "Doc" Robertson and wife Cindy of Dove Creek, Texas, sister Robbie Whittington of Midland, brother Claude White of Prescott Arizona. He is also survived by many Nieces and Nephews.
