David D. Ritter “Critter”, age 69 of Rubicon, found peace on Monday, July 13, 2020. He was born on August 15, 1950 in Hartford to parents, Douglas and Mary Ann (nee Radermacher) Ritter. Dave was united in marriage to Tina Dickmann on September 6, 2003 at The Gardens in Nenno, WI.

Dave enjoyed dog sled racing in his earlier years, which continued his passion for caring for and having dogs throughout the years. Another great passion was for motorcycle riding and enjoying trips to Sturgis, SD. He will be remembered for playing Santa, his selflessness, spending and enjoying time with his grandkids and the laughter that always ensued. His contagious laughter will forever be missed by all who knew and loved him.

Dave is survived by three children, Joseph Meyer, Jason (Cassie) Meyer and Jessica (Brandon) Boyd; six grandchildren, Talan, Roman, Declan, Koltyn, Savannah, and Hudson; sister, Julie (Danny) Hawkins; siblings-in-law, Nancy Bandle, Teri McFarlane and Bill Dickmann; also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Dave is preceded in death by his beloved wife, Tina; his parents; parents-in-law, William and Florence Dickmann; sister, Marlene (Dennis) Oswald; brothers, Gerald, Thomas and Jeffrey Ritter.

Funeral Services will be held at the Shimon Funeral Home, 824 Union St., Hartford on Thursday, July 16 at 12 Noon with Fr. David LaPlante presiding. Visitation from 10:00 AM until time of service.
