David Anthony Burgess, age 47, passed away early Saturday morning, July 4, 2020 in Katy, TX. He was born October 27, 1972 in Beaumont, TX to Frank Lee and Vicky Marie (Medley) Burgess.

David is survived by his wife, Jodie Burgess and their daughter Ariana; daughter Megan Burgess; father, Frank Burgess; mother, Vicky Burgess; sister, Julie Trahan; a nephew and many nieces.

David served his country in the U.S. Air Force and Reserves from 1993-2005 achieving the rank of Senior Airman. He earned two Air Force Achievement Medals for his computer expertise, one being the First Oak Leaf Cluster for meritorious service. Other awards include NCO Professional Military Education Ribbon,Defense Service Medal with 1 device, Air Force Overseas Short Tour Ribbon, Air Force Training Ribbon, Air Force Longevity Service Award with 1 device, Small Arms Expert Marksmanship Ribbon,/Pistol, Air Force Outstanding Unit Award with 4 devices, and Air Force Good Conduct Medal with 1 device.   

David had a passion for computers that he expressed through his work for more than a decade at Netsync. He excelled in Cisco Voice over IP and Routing and Switching technology. As a Senior Consultant in IT, David held the certifications of Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) and Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP).

David enjoyed science, math, fast cars and motorcycles but more than anything he was a devoted father who loved his family.
