Darlene F. (Lastes) Austin, beloved wife of Albert L. Austin, of Blue Sky Dr., Westerly passed away at her home surrounded by her loving family on Sunday, Sept. 25, 2016 at the age of 55.
She had been employed for many years as a customer service representative with Schonning Insurance of Westerly. Darlene loved to help people out in their time of need, but the most important facet of her life was her family.
In addition to her husband; she leaves six children and their spouses, Ashley Fitts and her husband, Joe, Jason Crudden and his wife, Caitlin Beckwith, James Crudden and his wife, Tiffanie, Earl Austin and his wife, Jennifer, Albert M. Austin and his wife, Amanda, and Christine Robbins and her husband, Johnnie Robbins, Jr. Darlene is also survived by two brothers, Thomas Lastes, Jr. and Michael Lastes; as well as 13 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Visiting hours will be held on Wednesday, Sept. 28, from 4 to 7 p.m. at Gaffney-Dolan Funeral Home, 59 Spruce St., Westerly.
