Sylvia McCook Green, 75, of Ocilla, Georgia, died Sunday, July 12, 2020, at Pruitt Healthcare of Ocilla, Georgia.

Graveside services will be held 10 AM, Tuesday, July 14, 2020, at Pine Level Cemetery in Ben Hill County, Georgia, with the Rev. Mike Green officiating. The family will greet friends at the cemetery from 9:30 AM until the service.

Mrs. Green was born October 1, 1944, in Ben Hill County, Georgia to the late Ernest McCook and the late Frances Yeargin McCook. She graduated high school and worked for Flintstone Industries. She later worked as a dispatcher for Irwin County Sheriff Leonard Pope and also worked as an x-ray technician at Irwin County Hospital. Mrs. Green was a CNA for Osceola Nursing Home as well. She loved to cook and was a member of Ocilla United Methodist Church.

She is survived by her children, Valerie McFerran & Greg of Fitzgerald and Marion Allen Green of Ocilla; grandchildren, Lindsey Ann Taylor & Jonathon, Taylor Allen Green and Cierra Lynn McFerran; and a great-grandson, Cotton Jack Taylor. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Marion F. “Buddy” Green on July 9, 2020 and an infant brother.
