EDWARDSBURG, MI. -- Michael J. Flynn, 79, of Edwardsburg, passed away peacefully at home on Saturday, July 11, 2020, surrounded by love and family. A native of Elkhart, Mike was born on March 9, 1941 to the late Vearl and Irene (Myers) Flynn. He married his true love Jinx E. Hiland, together they built a wonderful life together with their two daughters, Michaele DeSchepper, Kimberly Flynn and will be greatly missed by his grandchildren Robert DeSchepper III, Michael Bartolini and great granddaughter Farrah Bartolini; and half-brother Billy Flynn.

He was preceded in death by his brother Tim Flynn.

Michael worked at Lochmandy Motors for over 40 years. He was a master Technician and held many certifications and advanced training in the automobile field.

Mike proudly served in the United States Marine Corps during the Vietnam War.

He liked working on cars, watching old westerns especially the Lone Ranger and Gunsmoke. Mike enjoyed spending time with his family and friends and will be missed by his faithful dog, Sarge.

Friends may call Noon (12 o’clock) to 2:00 pm. Thursday at the Billings Funeral Home, 812 Baldwin St., where services celebrating Michael’s life will begin at 2:00 pm. Pastor Terry Powell will officiate. Burial with follow at Adamsville Cemetery with military honors by the Elkhart U. S. Marine Corps Honor Guard Detachment #1397
