Karen was born in Warsaw, New York on March 14, 1950. She is a native of Rochester, New York and moved to Florida in 1972.
She is predeceased by her parents, Samie V. and Doris M. Rose.
She is survived by her children, Robert (Lisa) Hughes and Melissa (Jose) Rivera; grand-children, Tyler (Tara) Hughes, Brianna Hughes, Christian (Dawn) DeLuca, Mary and Ben. Karen is also survived by her sisters, Gloria (Roland) Pelliccia, Brenda Mercado, Sandra (Robert) Andrews; brother, Samie L. Rose and special friend Doris Roman and many other family members and dear friends.
Karen worked at SunTrust Bank, the Marion County Sheriff’s Office and On Top Of the World. Karen also participated in the prison Ministry. Karen was baptized as one of Jehovah’s Witnesses on July 11, 1969. Karen was known for her love of Jehovah God, the ministry, love of family and friends, her warm hospitality and making people laugh. Karen had a lot of spunk and personality. She was loved and enjoyed by so many. She always remained strong and positive despite her illness. She will be sadly missed.
