Ermie E. Matson Habegger died at age 86 on May 25, 1978 at the Souder Health Center. She was a resident of rural Berne, a former resident of Butler and had been at the center for 16 months. She is survived by three sons, Edward Matson, Auburn; Willis, Mt. Home, Arkansas and Lloyd, Davison, Michigan. Three sisters also survive, Mrs. Laudie Chapman, Mrs. Clara Clark, Waterloo and Ms. Mary Miller, Auburn. She has 15 grandchildren, 27 great-grandchildren, and three great-great grandchildren.
Funeral services were held at the Johnson Funeral Home in Butler. Interment was at the Waterloo Cemetery.
