James Andrew James, 79, retired farmer, died Sunday, January 5, 1992 at Tallahatchie General Hospital. Services were held Tuesday afternoon, January 7 at Newsom Funeral Home with burial in Mount Pisgah Baptist Church Cemetery.
Mr. James, the husband of the former Ann Victoria Newton, also leaves a daughter, Judy (Billy) Brasher of Holcomb; two sisters, Mrs. Lessie (Guy) Newman of Charleston and Mrs. Ruby (Clifton) Bishop of Vicksburg; a brother, Clifton James of Memphis; seven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by two sons, Jerry Lee James & Billy Newton James.
